About this puzzle

What is a number-path puzzle?

A grid with numbered checkpoints and a few walls. One unbroken line has to start on 1, reach the checkpoints in ascending order, and pass through every single cell exactly once. You may know the format as a one-line or Zip-style puzzle; this is that, with a new grid every day.

Is there always exactly one solution?

Yes, and that is the part that took longest to build. If two players could find two different valid paths, "everyone gets the same puzzle" would quietly mean nothing. So the generator carries its own solver and throws away any grid it cannot prove is unique. Four hundred days are generated and verified ahead of time, which is also why the site needs no server.

Do I need an account?

No. No account, no signup, no ads. Today's puzzle is free and so is every past puzzle. Your streak lives in this browser and nowhere else.

Is there an app?

Yes. The iPhone app adds hints, your stats, the full archive and leaderboards. The daily puzzle here stays free either way, and nothing on this page needs it.
